And, while you're quite enjoying the opportunity to read Stross' work again, you can't help but feel a bit discomfited. See, the book is written in the second person, and you can't recall ever having read anything longer than a short story written in that style. Except, of course, for computer and D&D style games, where the style is common. Which is appropriate, considering the book is (at first glance) about a bank heist in a fictional near-future equivalent of the World of Warcraft.
Thus, you find yourself in familiar, but unsettlingly different territory.
And feel the need to blog about it.
You'll write more once you've read more. Perhaps, even, in the second person.
